Emma - Founder & Lead Dog Carer
Hi, I’m Emma, the founder of Take the Lead QT!
My journey with dog care started years ago when I realised how much I loved looking after Queenstown’s four-legged residents. In early 2021, I took the leap and officially launched Take the Lead QT, and I haven’t looked back since! What started as a passion has grown into a thriving dog care service, looking after more than 90 dogs every week.
Growing up on a farm, I was always surrounded by animals, which helped shape my deep understanding of their needs, behaviours, and personalities. I am Pet First Aid certified and continually seek to expand my knowledge of training techniques to adapt to each dog's unique requirements. My goal is to build lasting relationships with both you and your pets, making Take the Lead QT one big fluffy family!
Nina (Left) - Dog Walker
Nina grew up in the United States on her family’s train-and-board dog care facility, where she developed a passion for working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Having been surrounded by dogs from a young age, she’s excited to bring her experience, enthusiasm, and love for animals to the Take the Lead QT team.
Sofia (Right) - Dog Walker
Originally from Canada, Sofia has spent several years working in the dog care industry, gaining valuable experience in both dog daycare and professional dog walking. She loves getting to know each dog’s unique personality and is committed to providing fun, safe, and engaging adventures that leave every pup happy and fulfilled.
